Tessa & Scott win 5th National Ice Dance Title:
- Tessa & Scott effortlessly won gold at the Canadian figure skating championship on Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Mississauga, ON
- After having simplified the short dance since they'd settled for silver at the Grand Prix Final in December, Scott had this to say:
“That skate, with all the changes we made in December and again this year, to get that under our belts is a huge boost for our confidence and for that program specifically” - Tessa & Scott are intent on climbing back on top to claim their third world title in March in London, ON.

Tessa & Scott join the RBC Olympian Program
- RBC has announced its new partnership with Tessa & Scott as part of the RBC Olympians Program.
- This program is designed to help amateur athletes 'work as community ambassadors to bring the Olympic messages of excellence, teamwork, leadership, and commitment to communities.'
- The program will also provide much needed support for Scott & Tessa

Tessa & Scott Prepare for Upcoming Hometown Competitions

- With this latest program, Tessa & Scott are looking to push the boundaries and step outside of their ‘classic Virtue-Moir' love story
- Having already won gold when they unveiled the Carmen program at the Skate Canada International Grand Prix in October, the duo is set to win again
- Meanwhile, for their short dance routine, Tessa & Scott have completely revamped their Yankee Polka after having realized something was ‘missing'

Grand Prix Finals (December 6 – 9)
Dream team of Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue unwilling to settle for 2nd at this year's Grand Prix Finals in Sochi, Moscow. After taking home the silver medal on home soil in the 2011 Grand Prix Finals, the pair are more determined than ever to capture the gold.
"We're a different team," Moir said. "Last year, we were kind of out to prove we were back and finally healthy, and while that was true, we were trying too hard. It kind of worked against us"
Skate Canada Champions Visit Parliament Hill (November 20)
On November 20, 2012, Olympic Champions Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir, Olympic bronze medalist Joannie Rochette and two-time World Champion Patrick Chan visited Parliament Hill and received recognition in the Senate for their recent achievements.
